Are you beginning to look for those easy science fair projects for your kids to do this school year? In the wake of the recent developments and the new demands that are being placed on the S&T system, it is necessary for us to embark on some major science projects which have relevance to national needs and which will also be relevant for tomorrow’s technology.
Other sciences study life (biology) or the earth (geology) or even matter and energy (physics). Science Fair projects are nothing more than an experiment, write-up and presentation. Science has brought sophistication to human life. Science is the pursuit and application of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence.
Bacon further questioned the Aristotelian concepts of formal cause and final cause, and promoted the idea that science should study the laws of “simple” natures, such as heat, rather than assuming that there is any specific nature, or ” formal cause “, of each complex type of thing.
Most science fair projects require a display board to communicate your work to others. Science is everywhere, it can be learnt and observed and fed into your child’s mind, leaving them asking more questions than ever before. No longer is it generally accepted that they are complementary sciences, offering information that allows us to not only perceive the heavens, but to understand the influences of the planets and our human relationship to the whole.
Scientists usually take for granted a set of basic assumptions that are needed to justify the scientific method: (1) that there is an objective reality shared by all rational observers; (2) that this objective reality is governed by natural laws; (3) that these laws can be discovered by means of systematic observation and experimentation.
